Foam roofing
Spray polyurethane foam is the system most Valley flat roofs end up on, and for good reason: it goes down seamless, it can be built up to correct drainage, and it insulates the roof deck at the same time.
Why foam works on Arizona flat roofs
A flat roof has no slope to save it. Every seam is a potential entry point, and Valley monsoon rain arrives faster than a marginal drainage path can handle. Foam is applied as a single continuous layer with no seams and no fasteners through the weather plane, and it self-flashes around parapets, curbs, and penetrations.
Because it is sprayed, low spots can be built up so water actually runs to the drains instead of sitting.
The coating is part of the system
Foam by itself will not survive UV. The protective coating on top is what takes the sun, and it is a maintenance item — it is meant to be inspected and recoated on a schedule, not installed once and forgotten.
A foam roof that is recoated when it should be can serve a very long time. One that is neglected fails from the top down.
Installation and re-roofing
- Inspection of the existing roof and moisture assessment
- Preparation — cleaning, removal of failed material, repair of wet or damaged areas
- Foam applied to specified thickness with drainage corrected
- Protective coating applied over the cured foam
- Walkpads and details at equipment where appropriate
Foam repair
Punctures from dropped tools, damaged sections around HVAC equipment, blistering, and coating wear are all repairable. Caught early, foam repair is one of the more straightforward roofing fixes.

How often does a foam roof need recoating?
It depends on the coating installed, the thickness applied, and how much sun and foot traffic the roof takes. We inspect the coating and tell you what condition it is actually in rather than working from a generic interval.
Can foam be applied over my existing flat roof?
Sometimes. It depends on what is there now and whether there is trapped moisture. That determination is part of the inspection.
